Restylane®

Home

Restylane (and Perlane®, manufactured by the same company) is an FDA-approved, injectable dermal filler with a base of hyaluronic acid, a naturally occurring substance in human skin. Similar to Juvederm, it is used to smooth fine wrinkles and fill in hollow or recessed areas in a patient’s face.

The effects of Restylane treatment are temporary, with results for most patients lasting around six months. While treatment may cause minor pain, swelling, and tenderness, recovery is usually complete within a week.
