Radiesse is an FDA-approved injectable filler used to reduce the appearance of facial wrinkles and lines. It consists of synthetically produced, calcium-based microspheres suspended in a water-based gel. When injected under lines around the mouth and nose it provides an immediate improvement by softening the creases, while improving long-term appearance by stimulating collagen and tissue development.

Radiesse does claim to have longer lasting benefits than other temporary dermal fillers, due to its collagen stimulation properties and decreased rate of natural absorption.
